Stainless baskets are available in 304 or 316 grades, depending on the level of corrosion protection required. They are cost-effective, strong, and easy to fabricate into custom shapes—making them ideal for rack plating and high-throughput operations.

Titanium Anode Baskets

For highly corrosive plating chemistries—such as chromic acid, fluoborate, or electroless processes—titanium anode baskets are the premium solution. Titanium offers exceptional resistance to aggressive solutions and is commonly used in nickel and gold plating lines where long-term durability and process stability are critical. Titanium baskets also support inert anode bags more effectively due to their rigidity and chemical resistance. Though higher in cost, they significantly reduce basket failure and minimize contamination risks in sensitive baths.

Mild Steel Anode Baskets

Mild steel baskets are used primarily in alkaline processes or non-corrosive environments where cost is a key factor. These baskets are common in cyanide-based zinc or cadmium systems and in some cleaning or stripping tanks. While not suitable for acidic solutions, mild steel is easy to work with and a good choice for short-term applications or where frequent replacement is expected. Palm offers coated mild steel options for limited corrosion resistance or as temporary solutions in pilot or batch setups.
